Friday, August 14th To start my day off, I woke up an hour earlier than I normally do to make sure I'd capture each and every moment of the day. I actually managed to make myself a full breakfast before we got on the bus. To make today even more special, it was the first day since we arrived that it rained. I almost thought I wouldn't have the opportunity to wear my new raincoat. I accompanied Kat, Austin, and Tarn to go to Thomas the Baker and then to Costa. Austin has officially eaten 14 Yum Yums in 3 days by the way. When we got back to the theatre, Ms. Peragallo had us do our normal everyday warm-up exercises plus a really intense game of Schwoof which happens to be one of my favorite games of all time. The amount of energy required to play this game is too large to be quantified. We also used an exercise that involved passing a candle that represents a joyous memory. It was supposed to increase connections between actors and open us up to being vulnerable. Today was also our first dress rehearsal and I got to wear suspenders for the very first time. Katie said I was the "definition of dapper". After rehearsal, the British students came over to Kiplin Hall for a second day to hang out. We practiced doing each other's accents, played card games, and ate lots of food. Helena, one of the British students, pulled out a guitar from the reading room and it turns out at least 3 of the British students can play the guitar. They broke into song at least 3 times while playing the guitar which was extremely impressive. Finally, we brought them with us to see Treasure Island. This live comedy consisted of three actors playing goofy pirates on a search for buried treasure. I can honestly say it was one of the best shows I've ever seen and was definitely a highlight of the trip. -Collier
